Statement of Faith
We believe...
The Lord God is
one and has manifested Himself to us as the Father, the Son and the
Holy Spirit.
Jesus of Nazareth
is the Son of God and took on flesh being born of the virgin Mary.
Jesus gave
Himself to die without sin so He could become sin for those who
receive Him as Lord and Savior.
Jesus was
resurrected to glory and now sits at the right hand of the Father ever
making intercession for those who and who will believe.
The original
Bible text is the inerrant, infallible Word of God through which He
has literally, figuratively, allegorically and symbolically
communicated to humanity those elements of His nature we are able to
receive, His plan for our redemption and the expectations and
consequences of our behavior.
Humanity is
hopelessly lost in sin and cannot of its own efforts be one with God.
But, through belief and faith in Jesus, can become adopted children of
God as heirs who can not be disowned.
Those who refuse
the gracious gift of His salvation condemn themselves to an eternity
reserved for Satan and his angels.
Those who receive
the gift of salvation purchased by Jesus with His blood become members
of the Body of Christ ( the Church Universal ) and receive the Holy
Spirit into themselves as a helper and guide who gives each gifts as
He sees fit in the Father’s eternal plan.
The overall
purpose of the Church is defined in Matthew 28:18-20:
18And
Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has
been given to me. 19Go therefore and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and
of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all that I
have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of
the age."
